On March 28th, 2012 Museo Galileo opened a new interactive area. Visitors have the opportunity to interact with innovative exhibits and to understand why and how some of the original instruments kept in the museum’s historical collection work.

Tickets are sold until 30 minutes before closing time.

 

Library

Opening hours

Reading Room: Monday through Friday 9.00 a.m.-4.30 p.m.; Saturdays: 9.00 a.m.-1.00 p.m.
Distribution: Monday through Friday 9.00 a.m.-1.00 p.m. / 2.00 p.m.-4.00 p.m.; Saturdays: 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Materials stored in the off-site warehouse are delivered the day after they are requested.

 

Access

Access to the library is reserved to:

  • professors and researchers in possession of a document attesting to their professional position
  • fellowship holders and doctorate students with certification from a university, the CNR or a similar institution
  • students and degree candidates with a letter of recommendation from their professor
  • collaborators of the Museo Galileo
  • scholars who do not fall within the above categories but can demonstrate a legitimate need to access the library collections for their research and studies
