[inserire alt immagine]Published in 2016 by Olschki in the "Galilaeana Library" series with the title Alexandre Koyré in incognito, the book brought to light completely unknown aspects of the life and works of this master in the history of scientific thought. Alexandre Koyré (1892-1964) was one of the most brilliant minds of the 20th century, and his essays on Galileo, Descartes and Newton are now classics.

Alexandre Koyré, un juif errant? is authored by Paola Zambelli, an international renowned scholar and former full professor of the history of philosophy at the University of Florence.

In this French-language edition, published by the Museo Galileo only in digital version, the author has added a new important chapter on the relations Koyré had, after his escape from Soviet Russia, with emigrants and opponents (Shpet, Berdiaev).

The publication of this study is particularly meaningful for Museo Galileo in view of the direct relationship that Alexandre Koyré had with the Florentine institution (the then Museum of the History of Science), which he visited several times over the years.

The work can be consulted through the Digital Library at this page.
