A key agreement between the Museo Galileo and the Italian Society for the History of Science (SISS) has been signed in March.
SISS gathers over 250 Italian scholars of the history of science and its mission, as Museo Galileo’s, is the dissemination of the history of science in its many aspects and in relationship with other branches of knowledge, such as arts and literature.
The scientific and educational collaboration between the two institutions includes the allocation of scholarships and research grants intended for junior scholars.
Another important point of the agreement pertains the creation of a national centre to collect and publish all the Italian PhD thesis in the history of science in digital format, which will be housed in the Museo Galileo Library.
