On Thursday, March 30, the new permanent multimedia exhibition “Urania: Science and Culture” — designed by Museo Galileo in collaboration with Fondazione Elena e Attilio Giuliani — was launched at Villa Rendano in Cosenza.
Thanks to IT, “Urania” makes it available to a wider public a virtual tour through subjects of critical importance to better understand the history of science and civilization. “Urania” thus offers a new perspective on the close connection between ideas, theories and knowledge, on the one hand, and available technology and materials, on the other.
This is particularly the case with glass, which is the thread of the seven stories devised for Villa Rendano: generally appreciated for its usefulness and artistic value, this material has also played a leading role in the development of scientific knowledge.
