Museo Galileo is carrying out a reflection on its own contribution and strategic positioning with respect to Open Science. In order to involve other museums and cultural institutions in this discussion, Museo Galileo has organised the workshop "Open science in and by Museums: current visions and the path ahead" that will take place on May 11, 2023.
The workshop aims to create a space for exchange between different museums and institutions interested and engaged in the application of Open Science principles and practices.
The event will be divided into two parts:
- the first session (11am-1pm) will be held in English and in hybrid mode. This session will be dedicated to the contextualisation of the topic and to the presentation of some international experiences in the museum field. The event will be streamed on Museo Galileo's YouTube channel.
- the second session (14.30-18.00) will be dedicated to a workshop on site (limited number of participants) in order to share relevant experiences, identify common challenges and possible synergic actions.
