I-MASS (Information Management and interoperability of content for distributed System of high volume data repositories through multi agent Systems) is a project that aims at developing innovative methodologies for the access and consultation of databases in the Culture Heritage domain. I-MASS is based on the Virtual Reference Room concept which relays on the syntactic and semantics interoperability between different series of metadata to store the digital collections of museums, libraries and archives. IMSS is involved in the creation of digital archives about Leonardo da Vinci’s machines.
