Tre scrittori e la scienza

Florence, Museo Galileo and Gabinetto Vieusseux, January 26 – May 12, 2022

Museo Galileo and Gabinetto scientifico letterario G.P. Vieusseux took the exhibition From Hell to the Empyrean: Dante’s World between Science and Poetry (Florence, Palazzo Pitti, December 14, 2021 – May 29, 2022) as a starting point to co-organize two series of conferences on the relationship between literature and science.

Carlo Emilio Gadda, Primo Levi, and Italo Calvino were the protagonists of the first series under the title “Three Writers and Science” (January 26, February 9 and 23, 2022). Paola Italia, Domenico Scarpa, and Massimo Bucciantini respectively gave talks on the three Italian writers.

In the second series—“Two Writers and Science”, April 28 and May 12, 2022—Gian Italo Bischi lectured on Leonardo Sinisgalli while Enzo Rammairone on Daniele Del Giudice.

The conferences (in Italian) are available on the Museo Galileo’s YouTube channel.
