The Body's Normal and Pathological Constitution at the Intersection of Philosophy and Medicine

Florence, May 13-14, 2016

On 13 and 14 May, in Florence, the students of the Doctorate in Philosophy of the Universities of Pisa and Florence organized a two-day conference titled: "Oeconomia corporis. The Body’s Normal and Pathological Constitution at the Intersection of Philosophy and Medicine".

The conference was focused on body constitution, in its polar aspects of health and disease, harmony and imbalance, at the intersection of the history of philosophy and history of science, following a long-term trajectory that comes from antiquity to the 20th century.
