The exhibition deals with topics at the centre of many world expositions of the past, that are a strong connection to the theme of EXPO Milano 2015, i.e.“Feeding the planet, energy for life.” The exhibition looks over the role of Tuscan scientific institutions in the world expositions from 1851 to 1911. In addition, it aims at stimulating reflexion upon the agricultural and food system in Tuscany and its links to scientific research. The virtual exhibition makes available a number of online resources including a digital library of books and manuscripts linked to the exhibition topics.
