This initiative is targeted to all Italian schools that, due to their geographic position, could have difficulty in visiting the museum and participating in educational activities. Students and teachers will be able to attend the experiences made by museum staff in real time and interact with them via the internet.
The project has been successfully tested with the schools of Favignana and Marettimo (Aegadian Islands) and Vulcano, Lipari and Salina (Aeolian Islands). It has later on broadened its horizons reaching Pointe Noire in Congo, thanks to the collaboration with the Italian school “Enrico Mattei”.
Schools interested in virtual activities can make arrangements by calling +39055265311 and speaking directly with museum educators.
