In December 2015 the Museo Galileo library received as a donation a section of the personal library of Pietro Stefanelli (1835-1919), wellknown florentine professor of entomology, founding member of the Italian Entomological Society and active collaborator of the Istituto Sperimentale per la Zoologia Agraria of Florence.
The collection is made up of approximately 700 pamphlets and books published between 1850 and 1920 and dealing mainly with medicine and pharmacy but also with chemistry, physics and natural sciences.
