As part of “Strings City”, Museo Galileo is pleased to host an interesting concert of traditional Iranian music.
“Strings City” is the title of the event taking place on Saturday, December 3, from 9.30 to 23.00. For one day, the city of Florence will become the focal point of string music: over 30 hours of music in 40 places of culture, more or less known, that will be transformed into a stage of big and small musical events, only performed with string instruments, from violin to vocals.
Strongly supported by the Florence municipality, "City Strings" is curated by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with the participation of the Conservatorio "Luigi Cherubini", Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Orchestra della Toscana.
The concert is free. Reservations are compulsory and to be made through Eventbrite.
At 13.00 a free guided visit with reduced admission fee (5.50 Euro) is scheduled for the people who are booked for the concert.
