A fascinating journey towards the discovery of Galileo and his time: the 17th-century thought from an artistic and philosophical point of view, on the one hand, and the ingenious personality of the scientist on the other. Thanks to the original use of the telescope, Galilean discoveries changed the idea of the universe and expanded the debate on the relation between science and faith. Was the telescope an innovative tool, indispensable to approaching distant worlds, or, as many thought, a diabolical device?
