On June 11 Museo Galileo celebrates its first anniversary of re-opening after a two-year stop due to restoration works and to the radical renovation of the museum permanent exhibition. In this last year, the museum welcomed over 100,000 visitors, thus recording a more than 40% increase in comparison with 2007, which was the last year the museum was open before the stop.
A number of visitors attended educational activities and appreciated the innovative multimedia tools as well as the new museum shop.
The new website also met with very good success, recording more than one million users and about 3,800,000 visited pages.
