April 17-19, 2015
The Children’s Festival, now at its second edition, proposes further free events geared to children aged 0-13, with a special consideration for their world, their expectations and expressions.
The 2015 edition is inspired by the International Year of Light, a United Nations initiative, and aims at stimulating children’s imagination, curiosity, fun and desire to know and be together...
Museo Galileo supports and contributes to this initiative with two activities (in Italian), which will be held at the Tribune of Galileo of La Specola, in Via Romana, 17.
"Once upon a time… Galileo’s sky”
A Galileo-puppet will tell our small visitors about his life and his bright discoveries.
The activity is recommended for adults and children aged 5 to 7.
April 17, at 10.00 and 11.15
April 18, at 10.00 and 11.15
April 19, at 15.00 and 16.15
"The Light of the Sky in Galileo's Telescope”
An actor dressed as Galileo Galilei tells visitors about the important discoveries he made observing the light of the sky with the telescope. He thus revealed the mistery of the Milky Way, the surface of the Moon, the phases of Venus and Jupiter's satellites.
The activity is recommended for adults and children aged 7 and over.
