News: The thematic digital library dedicated to the Giorgio Roster Archive of the Alinari Archives

The Museo Galileo, in collaboration with the Fondazione Alinari per la Fotografia, has launched a project focused on the digitization and enhancement of the Giorgio Roster collection, which is preserved in the Alinari Archives. After successfully completing the inventory, digitization and cataloguing phases of the entire collection—which is accessible through the Alinari portal (Roster Archive)—this invaluable heritage is now available via a user-friendly digital library. The project’s long-term goal is to virtually reconstruct Roster’s complete oeuvre in order to provide both researchers and amateurs with an innovative tool for exploring and deepening his remarkable contributions.
