EcoMuse Lab, a new free course for designers, artisans, and creatives: an interdisciplinary training initiative born from the collaboration of the Museo Galileo with the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, ISIA Florence, the University of Florence – SAGAS, and ARTEX, as part of the PNRR and NextGenerationEU projects.
Completely free of charge, the course is specifically aimed at university students, newly graduates, designers, and artisans interested in exploring the relationship between sustainability, art, and museum design.
The "EcoMuse Lab" course is structured in two parts: the initial 'Online Learning' phase is open to everyone, featuring 80 hours of on-demand video lessons delivered by university professors and professionals from the five promoting organizations. This part consists of seven thematic modules, each exploring a key aspect of sustainable design for museum bookshops. The second part of the course is practical and will instead take place in person in Florence in October 2025: there will be two workshops to choose from, one curated by the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and the other by ISIA Florence.
