Italian Hours. Historical Clocks from the Del Vecchio Collection

Curated by Antonio Lenner, President of Hora-Associazione Italiana Cultori di Orologeria Antica, and Giorgio Strano, Head of Museo Galileo's collections, the exhibition "Italian Hours. Historical Clocks from the Del Vecchio Collection" presents to the public an extremely significant selection of Italian clocks which were found, kept and studied by Gian Carlo Del Vecchio (1918-2016).

The exhibition also features some instruments for measuring time which were conceived before the spreading of mechanical clocks as well as a choice of tools used by master clockmakers to create their artworks.

"Italian Hours" will be running at Museo Galileo from July 14 to October 15, 2023 and its cost is included in the entrance fee.
