Museo Galileo signed the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information, prepared by a group of over than 25 experts research information experts, representing organizations that carry out, fund, and evaluate research, as well as organizations that provide research information infrastructures.
Following its long commitment on the dissemination of Open Science, Museo Galileo shared its position with other cultural institutions active in this field during the international workshop, organized in collaboration with SIRIS Academic, “Open science in and by Museum: current visions and the path ahead”, which took place at the museum on May 11, 2023.
As a result of that meeting, the museum developed a position paper to present its vision and commitment to the application of Open Science principles and practices.
