The conference will focus on the role of women over the centuries, taking into consideration some of the women who have influenced the culture of their time, and thereby significantly contributing to the development of knowledge, arts and sciences. There will also be a presentation on the figure of Galileo Galilei in relation to the female characters that have influenced his life and his work.

For this special occasion Museo Galileo will be exceptionally open to the public from 20.30 to 24.00. Two special guests, the Grand Duchess Cristina di Lorena and the famous scientist Galileo Galilei, will entertain visitors with a theatrical performance. The reduced entrance fee to Museo Galileo will be granted to those participating in the seminar.
